Chichibu Japan Warrior Series Number One

This Japanese single malt whisky was released as a German market exclusive. Distilled at Ichiro Akuto’s Chichibu distillery in 2009, this single cask expression has been matured in a sherry puncheon before being finished in a white wine cask before bottling at 61.9% abv in September 2017. A fabulous rare expression.

On the nose, the white wine influence is apparent with hints of lime and grapefruit present. These flavours continue on the palate alongside sweet stone fruits before leading into the rich finish.
