Miyagikyo Rum Wood Finish

This limited edition Japanese single malt was distilled at Miyagikyo, the younger sister of Nikka’s Yoichi distillery. Part of the wood finish series, this expression has been double matured in rum casks before bottling in 2017 at a strength of 46% abv.

The nose has fresh citrus and sweet honey, with some leather, sugared almonds and floral notes. The palate brings a strong oak note with sweet maple syrup, demerara sugar, creamy vanilla and a touch of tobacco leaf. The finish has more oak spice and tropical fruits lingering.
